how lovely and how wonderful!!! just curious, who performed the marriage ceremony?
One of the local registrars. You can either go to the registry office ( a horrid office block in the middle of Leeds) or for a small fee they will come out and perform the ceramony. It's a simple ceramony, request for know impediments, exchange of vows (standard or written by the couple), exchange of rings (if required) and it's all done. My daughter 'fluffed her lines' quite a bit as she was so nervous. Awwww!

Yes, not a great difference from the traditional stuff but with 'respect' rather than 'obey' and that sort of thing. My other daughter soaked a hanky during the ceremony, thank goodness for waterproof make up!

Aww, I hid tissues in my bouquet at my wedding.  ;D
"We've thought of life by analogy with a journey, with pilgrimage which had a serious purpose at the end, and the THING was to get to that end; success, or whatever it is, or maybe heaven after you're dead. But, we missed the point the whole way along; It was a musical thing and you were supposed to sing, or dance, while the music was being played.

Nice thought: That's a very good idea!
Evil thought: You hated your husband-to-be that much!  ;)
