I'm a teacher and it makes me profoundly happy and fulfilled. I don't make a lot of money, but I've always been happy with enough to get by.

I was considering going into education, I love highschool kids. I also use to play tennis and still love it, and it would of been very enjoyable being a tennis coach for a highschool.

I'm retired now.  I'm not very healthy, but I manage to give a lot of my time to a charity which provides activities for people with learning difficulties.  I do a lot of photography for them, some teaching and a great deal of just sitting around and socialising - that's the most valuable part, really.

That's fantastic! I certainly hope to retire with enough money to give generously to charity. I don't plan on spending my retirement on myself, and will likely give most of it away once my family is taken care of. I'm really glad your making the most out of the rest of your time here.

I'm a sewer rat.

I would rather go underground on a hunt for sewer mice in a game of cat and mouse.  8)

I like rats though.

I like rats though.
I have two. They small and round-eared and have those tiny little fingers and toes. Perfect.  :D

My job description is what one of my kids told his teacher back in sixth grade. She asked the kids in her class what their parents did for jobs, and my son, being very proud of his dad (and being very money conscious, for some reason) just told her I made money...a lot of money!

I've been using that line ever since.

I have been:

Military Officer and Aviator
Commercial Pilot
Geographical Planner for a county

and after obtaining a bio degree,

Pharma Rep
Cardiovascular Sales Consultant
Scientific Liaison for Biotech
Hematology and Oncology Consultant for Biotech

That's adorable. I actually really like rodents, and at one time had over 50 hamsters, around 4 gerbils, almost 10 guinea pigs and two rabbits in an apartment.

You could say that things got a bit out of hand.

Like... Nine and three quarter..?  :o

LOL

Almost because I don't really remember how many there were in a more prolonged period of time. Usually 8, 9 or 10.  Good pets.

And I, for one, am extremely happy that you are a teacher.
Seconded, with knobs on.

I'm a sewer rat. If it has to do with sewer inspection (no plumbing) in my municipality, I'm there. That includes, cleaning (rarely - we have other guys that do that), CCTV, manhole inspections, GPSing, paper work, grease/grit traps type stuff.
The essence of the mind is not in what it thinks, but how it thinks. Faith is the surrender of our mind; of reason and our skepticism to put all our trust or faith in someone or something that has no good evidence of itself. That is a sinister thing to me. Of all the supposed virtues, faith is not.
