This reminds me of the Catholic church my boyfriend's family attends.  I took his aunt to mass like two years ago maybe, and they spent 2 minutes talking about the paltry sum of money they had donated to the local soup kitchen, and another 20 minutes about the 4 million they have raised to give the church a new stained glass ceiling.

My bad, poor wording.  The roof was made of stained glass.  Or in this case, the roof and ceiling were one in the same, rather.
