Question for Teresa Benedicta

I've been meaning to ask since you've reached 50 posts and feel especially curious because the way you put it, looks like you went from quite a turn from being an atheist in a family of atheists to a Catholic thinking about living a religious life and your posts show that you're clearly enamoured with your religion. That's not something you see everyday...at least I don't. 

If this question doesn't seem to be inappropriate, what happened to cause the drastic change and how did your family react to it?
