They are ok, but more importantly, did you get a green light for advertising from the board admin?

I don't think this is advertising, but we don't really allow links in people's first posts.

What's the point in having atheist license plate frames? I don't get it.

So you can let people know you are both tacky and an atheist?

(if you don't know, license plate frames attach on top of the license plate while it is on the car and add text above and below the state issued tag)

Yes, I know. I just don't get why it's important to let everyone know you're an atheist. But hey, I'm Scandinavian.

I think putting your values, views and thoughts on the back of your car is an American thing.  In most parts of the US it would also serve as a tiny "you are not alone" or "we're here, get use to it" ad for atheists.  But since I like to keep business separate from my views on religion I don't put any atheist related sayings/symbols on my car.

I not wanting someone to scrap your car with their keys also not a good reason not to use those?

Since there are more theists than atheists, the odds of there being a complete theistic whacko are way higher.

yes, that is another good reason.  Yet as many people as I know who do have darwin fish, flying spaghetti monsters, and other atheist stickers on their cars I have yet to hear of any cases of vandalism.

My car did get keyed when parked in the college lot back when I was still in college; and I didn't have anything atheistic on it...I assume they mistook my silver neon for some other person they were mad at (there use to be a lot of silver neons, I assume they have all quit running by now).

Sorry, but for some reason, the part that I made into bold type just made me laugh.

It protects your atheist licence.
This is worthwhile because it's such a hassle going to the atheist registry office to get a new one.
It is particularly unpleasant in winter when you have to do that dunking in the river buoyancy test.

Yeah... On mine it says like... "Volkswagen"  :-\ As if nobody could see it by looking at the car... What's left of it
