I'm not sure if we've discussed this comic before or not, and I know all of you in the UK are intimately familiar with him.

I just had to remind everybody about one of the absolute sharpest, wittiest, most fucking awesome guys alive, in my opinion. A friend of mine bought me his DVD, "This is The Show", which I love (he bought in from Amazon's UK store). Same guy also has tons of episodes of "QI", which he frequently appears on. I also just got to see the program he did live with Prof. Brian Cox, "Stargazing Live", which was cool. Obviously would have cooler live, but hey, I don't get any British channels on my cable!

I think he's as fast as Robin Williams ever was, and much funnier. My absolute favorite thing he's done though, has to be the "Three Men" series with Griff Rhys Jones and Rory McGrath. Those guys are so good together. Anyway, for people who aren't familiar with him, find some of his stuff and enjoy!

No. I just looked him up and it seems he would have been my type of comedian too. I'll have to find some of his routines and watch them.

I remember Dave Allen's shows from the seventies . He was very funny. Didn't he always finish his shows by saying "May your God be with you"?

That's the guy. Dara has definitely filled the gap left by Dave Allen. He has the same take on the patent absurdity that is Irish Catholic religious observance.
