looking for thinkers to discuss new conceptual film

There is a project coming out that has Kent Cullers, Temple Grandin, Debra Winger, as well as many other musicians and actors. I believe that the piece is a conceptual piece about fear, life, reality, and humanness. Was wondering what you guys would think of it....The website is a bit confusing but leads you to some interesting places...

Well, to be blunt...

I'm getting wooden acting, pretentious writing, and a plot designed to confuse and string the viewer along for as long as possible.
I never cared for movies/videos/series like that.
The ending is never enough to justify all the garbage you have to sift through to find the message.
Mostly it strikes me as a poorly executed marketing gimmick to sell a product that doesn't really exist (ie. the movie itself)

Not trying to be negative or mean, but that was my honest first impression.  And my second one, too.

Hello, FarFromFrozen.  Have you read William Gibson's Pattern Recognition?  If so, do you see some similarity between a couple of the themes in that novel and this "film project?"  It almost seems like the producers of this project have modeled it after a plot-line in the novel.  From what I've seen so far of it, I'm inclined to agree with joeactor:

The ending is never enough to justify all the garbage you have to sift through to find the message.

I admire the producer's willingness to experiment with the form, but I'm less than enthralled by the content I've seen.

(The pissant little computer I'm using at the moment hates the website, by the way.  It managed to avoid freezing up, but was nearly overwhelmed by the high bandwidth use which the website requires.)

This project is mysterious and deep. I am into this. If you are not that's fine I just thought some people would be curious and interested in at as I am.

I finished Pattern Recognition and wow, thanks for the suggestion. This is an author I can see myself reading more. I am a big fan of this genre...would it be considered cyberpunk?

I see some of the resemblance with the book you speak of.
