Quote from: "Ned"Is it my imagination, or do several people on this forum seem to be somewhat lacking in the social graces?
So says the person who used "pwned" as a post comment.

Stop baiting people...do it again and you'll have to play somewhere else.
Do you accept the possibility that you sound like a fool?
Bye bye Ned.

EDIT

Ned, why do you do what you do? What is the point? Do you get some sense of satisfaction? Do you want to join in and are frightened of going all the way? Surly you'd be happier on a forum where people hold the same ideas rather than hanging around on a forum where you're ideas are considered just plain wrong? It's not like your attitude helps your cause (if you have one).
If religions were TV channels atheism is turning the TV off.

Reginus

Quote from: "i_am_i"You talk to Jesus, right? So why not just ask him?
It was a rhetorical question lol

Quote from: "notself"Jesus has nothing to do with Christianity.  The founder of Christianity is Paul.  You know, the guy who fell off his horse and invented a religion.
Oh, so the religion (in theory) of "following Christ" actually has nothing to do with Christ?

Quote from: "Tank"
Quote from: "Reginus"So Jesus would support those things?
How would any of us ever know that? The stereotypical  'nice' Jesus may not.
By "Jesus" I meant "Jesus as portrayed by the Bible" because the central theme of Christianity is following Jesus as the Bible portrays him.

My fundamental point was that just because Christians do bad things, we can't blame that on Christianity.  Even if someone were to do something evil "in the name of Christianity," I still don't think that we could blame that action on Christianity if Jesus (as portrayed by the Bible, ofc) didn't actually teach people to do that.

Asmodean

Quote from: "i_am_i"I wonder if in the afterlife they give you a cake when your physical remains reach the two thousand year old milestone.

Nah...it's ridiculous to just think such a thing.
You wonder if Jesus has a cake?  :hmm: I wonder if the expression "Like taking cake from Jesus" is testable then...  :P

EDIT: If you considered my comment and not Jesus' cake ridiculous, then I should probably underline that I was viewing the pile of remains as an ecosystem, not a living entity in its own right.
