Ok i probably shouldnt be on this forum but ive been driven to this point mostly due to frustration. Other christians disability to have a confronting and or difficult conversation. I mean if i ask a hard question i feel like others frown upon me for even thinking it. Not all christians are as arrogant and self righteous as you may think, i for one believe in answering any question that may pop up rather than blatantly ignore or be told " your focusing on the wrong things, stop askingcontrovertial questions" it pisses me off so much, it is bullshit. I do believe in God though, i just think too many of the followers are annoying. ohh and im not here to convert any1 lol so i wont be bible bashing you.

Why shouldn't you be on here? We welcome all types with equally open arms. It's up to the individuals if they're right for this place, however.

Welcome to the forum. Feel free to ask any questions. Before you do that, it might be a good idea to browse our forums for any questions, that were already asked (and answered).

^to add to that, unless we were dealing with one of the more annoying types of Chrsitians...then you might want to re-ask it if our responses didn't make sense.  The bible basher types sometimes force the responses off onto a bunny trail.

Cool. Welcome dionysiou. Let's have some fun!  :bananacolor:

Welcome to the forum!  Don't be afraid to ask questions.  If someone ever tells you that you shouldn't ask questions and to trust them they are either lying to you or are trying to sell you something.  We will do our best to answer any questions we can.

Welcome.
It would be of interest to me what form of Christian you are and which church you are going to.
Are you evangelical, catholic or something else and what is the name of your church?

Does it really abhore unwished questions that much?
I am interested because I donot really know exactly what it is like to be in a christian church.
Therefore I would like to learn from you also ;)

Of course you can ask me questions in return if you wish. I am a Polytheist by the way.

im simply christian, a follower of christ, i am not religious, i try to follow the Holy Spirit guidance and i dont associate myself within any particular denomination, i am currently at an AOG church but thats because my family is there and i am there for fellowship, as it states in the bible . The denomination of the church doesnt mean anything to me, every church has a different bunch of people and my particular church has some difficult ones. Not all AOG churches would be as mine is, obviously. overall though the people are nice and mean well.

Hey All,

I'm on the same boat as dionysiou 100% and I'm definitely interested in learning some stuff.

So I'm going to start this party...I'm hoping to have a fun interesting debate so hopefully you guys go with it and teach me some stuff...

Topic 1: I've noticed scanning topics on the forum that a lot of people feel that the "Church" (I'm not being specific, basically the people in power of a said belief) throw a bunch of "rules" at the believers to follow. Is this one of the reasons that a religious belief bothers you and why?

Topic 2: Another question, Do atheists simply deny the existence of God because there is no proof? Is it a matter of faith? Is it more of a philosophical issue?

I'm excited to talk about this stuff, correct me if I asked a question to vaguely or something...

Start some new threads about it and we'd be happy to reply.  Hijacking a thread isn't very nice  ;)

Thank you, it's nice to meet a rational theist, I know a few, debates with them can be quite gratifying. If only all theists could be like that, not that atheists can't be equally ignorant.

I used to be a christian and got this all the time whenever i would question things. Nowadays I am instantly apprehensive about anyone who insists I stop asking questions.
I'd say stick around tho. I'm a newbie here but there seems to be a lot of smart people here that are willing to answer any questions one might have.
