I got spam!  Another African bank looking to give me a huge sum of money for some inexplicable reason.  But what I found hilarious about this particular attempt was the following:

Quote from: "Mr. David Allen Johnson"I was going through some business directories. I was divinely and spiritually motivated to pick your e-mail specially to champion this. The amount is large, accepted, but I have the feeling that you can conveniently handle it without any problem.
Wow - so even the phishers are somehow functioning according to god's master plan?    Why didn't he just say he had "faith" in me?  Haha.

Just thought I'd share - I found this hysterical!

God wants him to scam you. How can you argue with logic like that? Lol...
I want bad people to look forward to and celebrate the day I die, because if they don't, I'm not living up to my potential.

Things like this are the main reason I dislike christianity. People preach they are the only moral things on the planet because they have GOD... and then they do SLD. I hate hypocrisy.
Atheism is a non-prophet organization.

somewhat unrelated, but one of Mike Vick's first bullshit comments at his press conference a few days ago was how he "found Jesus" through his recent tribulations.   I laughed for about 2 minutes when I heard that, then I felt a deep sadness for all the people that will identify with, and forgive, Vick simply for "finding Jesus".

What he neglected to mention, though, is that he meant he had found a new Guatemalan gardener named Jesus.

I heard that too, donkeyhoty, and had pretty much the same reaction.  My thoughts ran like:  "Wow, what an idoit!  Hahaha!  -pause-  On second thought, maybe that was a shrewd P.R. move  -shook head-  Sad"

shoruke - I can only assume that the phisher in question was hoping he'd play off of my weakness by invoking this spiritual mumbo-jumbo --- too bad he tried to phish an atheist, huh?  Although, in all fairness, this was hardly the only thing wrong with this scam attempt.....

Yup... invoke the holy name of a deity and voila, you've got a great amount of company who will willingly help you!  Why didn't WE think of that!?!
