With airtight logic like this, who could possibly make a counter-argument?

I love how this person lists three different forms of Christianity as examples of different but acceptable god worship when they talk about freedom of religion meaning denial of freedom from religion.   lol

It's one thing to be completely ignorant to the United States Constitution, but to say that atheists are the reason crime is rampant? I'm pretty sure it's the other way around amigo. Statistics show after all that atheist countries are more peaceful than religious.

What a tool.

ClicheGuevara

That was completely logical. .  Guess I better move to Canada eh?

Quote from: "Alice (Fuckwad) Shannon"The United States is based on having the FREEDOM of religion..., but YOU MUST believe.

Words can not express the stupidity and irony in this statement...

I looked in vein for the facepalm smiley, sadly, it's not there.

I think in Pennsylvania, when William Penn was still around, he had a rule where you didn't have to be Quaker, but you had to believe in a god. It was a partial freedom of religion I suppose, but obviously not totally.

Perhaps this person is living by William Penn's philosophy?

I think I posted this in the Atheist Image Dump thread once. He's living by the philosophy of his ass. He probably spells philosophy "filosofee." Okay, that's taking it a bit far, but still.. [/disdain]

Of course atheists have committed crimes, that goes without saying, but he says that "they" (I hate the othering terminology) have never committed crimes but are still responsible for crime. That's starting with a false premise and reaching an even more contradictory conclusion.

What a tosser.

Seems that maybe everything is not as it seems with this editorial. Haven't found any corroborating(sp?) evidence for the link provided though, so im still not sure what to make of it. I mean, its got to be a hoax. No one is that ignorant and misinformed... right?
Doesn't matter if it was a spoof or not though, still a pretty terrible idea to run this in a newspaper. All it does is give people who really think like this the idea that this thought process is ok.

I love how the genius who wrote this article mentions our currency in us saying "in god, we trust". Only if they knew that was added unconstitutionally  in 1953 to demonize commies as godless....

They never mention where it is we should go. I'd love an all-expenses paid move to Northern Europe or China, somewhere that to me is exotic or historic (maybe both!). If I am to be kicked out of my country, I hope I'm being kicked somewhere interesting.
I want bad people to look forward to and celebrate the day I die, because if they don't, I'm not living up to my potential.
