Caecilian

Hello

I'm Caecilian. Some personal details (but not too personal):

-I was lucky enough to be brought up atheist. I've never had any religious beliefs at all.

- I'm male, and live in the UK.

- I have an active interest in Philosophy, so its likely that many of my posts will be in the Philosophy section.

- My sense of humour tends to be somewhat dark/ twisted. Hopefully I won't offend anyone too badly.

I'm an active member of atheistforums.org, so some people may recognize me from there. Looking forward to being active here too.

Wonderful to meet you.  I have a twisted sense of humor as well, and I love Philosophy, particularly Phil. of Mind.  Also have an interest in Neuroscience.  Welcome!

I had a CofE Mum and an atheist Dad, so while Mum attempted to indoctrinate me, my Dad put me straight!

I'd rather go to the dentist that do philosophy, so each to their own  :sigh:

Hmmm... You sound an awful lot like me.

That could be great, we could have really interesting discussions and stuff...unless...

Unless you are me

Which would be bad. So lets hope that neither of us is hallucinating the other one, and that no one is anyone else's doppelganger, and with luck it will all be ok.

Welcome, have some fun.
Always question all authorities because the authority you don't question is the most dangerous... except me, never question me.

Or, even worse, I'm you

It's entirely possibly one of us is a p-zombie version of the other.  But I categorically deny that it's me.  Which, of course, is precisely what a p-zombie would say...damn!

Or maybe I'm just your garden variety brain-eater zombie.  In which case...better remember the ole' "double-tap", just to be safe.
