Greeting from Germany

Hello everyone.

I thought the times of online forums have long since past, but apparently I am mistaken. I suppose I have been an atheist all my life, but for much of it I thought something was wrong with me. Seriously. Because I just couldn't "feel" the presence of god. Then I read Dawkins who wrote that it's perfectly normal to be an atheist. That wasn't even his main point, but it was a little "revelation" for me. For the past two years, I have tried to find out _why_ I am an atheist. I'm still learning, but I think I am much happier now than I ever was as the skeptic I used to be.

This life is short, and I don't want to waste it on promises. And I'm glad that there are more and more people out there who agree.

Well ... anyway ... greetings from a happy atheist in Germany. :)

Thanks for the warm and happy welcome. :)

I want bad people to look forward to and celebrate the day I die, because if they don't, I'm not living up to my potential.
