Introductions are a bit like interviews, in that we are expected to highlight our virtues without overly advertising self-importance.

I am a 29-year old husband and father to a beautiful family and two pugs. Like everyone, my family is my cornerstone, yet my zeal comes from my passions and my passions are the study and development of philosophy and economics

I teach public school math, yet like all transactions for our labor my job is merely a vehicle to my passions.

My other hobbies include paintball, jujitsu, golfing, good wine, gourmet coffee and tea, Imported Ale, writing, reading, and meditating.
I’m also a vegetarian, libertarian, atheist, UFC loving, Miami Dolphins fan who hails free markets and freedom of choice. If this is too much in-depth information you have my apologies

I post most of my writings here http://jeremiahdyke.blogspot.com/

Haha! In my intro I didn't even bother to claim any virtues. :)

Welcome to the forum, Jeremiah!

You can’t lie to yourself. If you do you’ve only fooled a deluded person and where’s the victory in that?â€"Ricky Gervais

A very good welcome to you sir. I had a look at your blog-site. Interesting stuff.

And you're a philosopher. This bodes well for future discussions. Philosophy interests me a great deal although I don't know much about it. I have Russell's History of Western Philosophy and I really like old Socrates, but I've been told that some of my ideas put me in David Hume territory. I haven't gotten to Hume yet.

So, jump right in, please!

Welcome to the forum!  :D  My sweetie is a huge paintball player - are you a tournament player or purely recreational?
