Hello Everyone.  I came across this forum a few weeks ago and finally decided to join.  I'm Jaz.  I live in Japan with my husband and 5 sons.  We are a military family so I don't run into too many free-thinker/atheists here.  In fact it's quite the other way around.  I'm constantly being invited to this church event or that PWOC (protestant women of the church) outing.  And of course having a larger family it's automatically assumed that we are ultra religious.
So it's very nice to have a place to come to and have/read some normalcy.

Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Hi jazzy, welcome to HAF...I hope we can help fill the social gap you have from being around so many religious people.  I don't quite understand why military people always tend towards religion.

Welcome to the forum! If I may ask, are you both in the military? And of course, which branch of which country's military? I only ask because if we get any more Navy in here, I'm gonna go sit in a corner and cry, being a former U.S. Army guy. Very lonely in here for us Army folks.  ;)

Thanks for your service. It's a hard life, especially with kids and even more so with five, so you get major props.

Conneeshee...  Kon-he-chee-hu....  Con-etchy-wha?  I can't even pronounce it in text.  Will you settle for 'welcome' instead?

It's weird... Asian countries are known for being pretty atheistic but the religious folks there are uber-religious. What scares me is that the virus might spread...

At least it's slowly dying out here...
