Nice stuff, Budhorse!

I'm currently working on a creative non-fiction submission for CBC's "Canada writes" contest. I'm about 25% through. I'm finding it difficult because most of the things I write are usually spouted off with little thought, i.e. here or on my blog.

I'll let you know how it goes.
"We've thought of life by analogy with a journey, with pilgrimage which had a serious purpose at the end, and the THING was to get to that end; success, or whatever it is, or maybe heaven after you're dead. But, we missed the point the whole way along; It was a musical thing and you were supposed to sing, or dance, while the music was being played.

Melmoth

I'm extremely jealous of anyone who can draw or sculpt. There's some really beautiful stuff here.

A friend of mine started a surreal fiction blog last year that never went anywhere. He never promoted it and I think he got bored of the idea before it had even started. Anyway, I made one contribution to it, which I've found again:

The Amphibian Heart

I'll probably get him to take it down soon. I have very mixed feelings about the story itself, plus I don't like the idea of having work online.

I may or may not include it in a short story compilation I'm putting together to stick on Lulu, which will be my first attempt to actually "publish" anything, if it can even be called that, so I'll see what people think of it. Could definitely use some editing.

Wow Budhorse and Maria, both of your pictures were lovely!

(Sorry, haven't gotten the chance to scroll back through everyone else's work just yet, or read Melmoth's story.)

I have almost zero artistic talent, so I doubt I'll be contributing much to this page. I'm very impressed by those of you that are so artsy though!

Thanks guys. I look at a lot of stock images and I sketch Vinnie while he's in the pasture, so I get to see a lot of horse anatomy.

I like them, looks like they go from a Chibi style to a Manga style to realistic sketch.
Always question all authorities because the authority you don't question is the most dangerous... except me, never question me.

I tried the new My Little Pony style, Spirit style, then realism. Didn't have reference for any of them, so they're a bit off.

Tank, I am seriously jealous of your photography. I would pay to have you come and shoot a few of my horse shows.  ;D

I'd love to come and do it!
Although you'd do better to ask McQ. He's nearer and better at that sort of thing.

I was in an Xbox LIVE Gaming Community for awhile and while I was in there I created signatures for the other members using GIMP and Photoshop. Here are some of the signatures I was able to make.
