Against what are you fighting the urge to have in mind?  :P

Sorry, hehe.

What would you have in mind for a band header, if you weren't fighting the urge to have me draw it?

Well, we are called Gallows for the Bride, so it would need to be... Something suitably... Gallowsy  :hmm:

These were done using a sgraffito technique with crayons.  I'm not an awesome artist, but I like how they look.

This is the marquee at the drive-in where I work.  I painted the frame to look like dusk.

I made five of the butterflies and turned them into a mobile.

Don't know if they qualify as art but here are a few of my fondant cakes which I'm rather fond of.

I guess the next cake I'm going to make will be a John Cena cake for my partner's almost seven year old niece who is an insane wrestling fan.  However, I'll soon be making fondant body parts, insects, spiders, and bats so I can write tutorials for them.

No, it didn't glow in the dark but it was very bright.

Ooh, nice cakes.  My mom makes cakes as a kind of side business.  I love how fondant looks, but I hate the taste!  Blegh!

Thank you.  I only use home made fondant which can actually be tasty and I've played with ways to soften the texture once the fondant is shaped. I use ganache frosting, sour cream frosting or fruit purees under the fondant.  They have lots of moisture in them which the fondant wicks up.  I also try to increase the humidity of the cake's enclosure for several hours before serving.  The Riddle Box ICP cake's fondant was actually very soft - it melted right into the sour cream/chocolate ganache.

I use flavor extracts in my fondant so some of it tastes like candy - vanilla, spearmint, wintergreen, almond, cinnamon, or lemon extract.  I usually co-ordinate the flavor of the cake and the fondant.

Ooh, that sounds yummy!  If you have any cake decorating lenses, post the links and I'll pass them on to my mom.  She loves trying new things and tips for better tasting fondant would be awesome!  :D

Imagination Theory

My older sister sent me some of my old sketches and photos when I was a child. I used to always throw away all my "work" so how she managed to save these, I don't know. Here they are.  :hissyfit:
