Batshit Insane Dream I Had...

I hate falling asleep. Very much. You see, in the morning, there is a very small window of opportunity for me to wake up, and if I miss it, my conciousness shuts down and I have the most insane dreams. What's worse, though, is that I always know that I'm dreaming, but I can't wake up.

You have not known terror until you've experienced being trapped in a dream state. If I don't proceed carefully, panic could set in and I completely freak out. But I still don't wake up, it's just that the dreamscape get's progressively more weird.

For example, here's a chronicle of the dream I had last night:

I'm on a baseball field where kid's are playing baseball, but decide to walk down the garden path into the forest by the river and try to get inside the stone pedestals jutting out of ancient column ruins so that I can go fishing with john, but I can't get in as I am too big, when I lay down underneath the pedestal and fall asleep so that I can get a fish hook and travel across the old rope bridge in the japanese countryside, but the bridge collapses and I find myself trying to wade myself back up the river. The king's evil brother has  exiled me, and I must entrust my safety into the hands of a thief, to lead me back into the crystal chrysanthemum, but the journey is harder than it looks when the thief vanishes and I must climb a strange material that traverses the aural universe, and am tied to the material so that I don't fall off as it loops around in roller coaster fashing, a million miles into a grey nothingness. But I reach the point when the chain of hearts crosses with an everlasting stretch of open space and barbed wire. And just as I jump through, I fall into a lightly wooded slope and can hear the rushing of the ocean. I leave all my belongings in the wooded area and walk down the slope to a clearing, where the weather is completely vivid and clear. The sky shines brightly, and the foliage almost glows with the golden rays of the sun. And there is a river that runs through it, which I follows on the side to an unfinished railroad bridge jutting out of the slope, then cross the river, and now I see that germany is not far away, and the giant steel appendages jutt out of the ground, where I must climb the towers so as to avoid the lake, and then the water get's bigger and bigger and I am so happy...

All while screaming to wake up.  :verysad:

Out of curiosity how do you describe your dream to someone without feeling retarded lol?  I haven't mastered it yet.  I've been able to wake up from states like that before.  Sometimes I have problems where I keep trying to move to wake myself up but I can't so I end up just going along with the dream for a few then using all my strength to move and wake up.  Experiences like that aren't that uncommon.  It reminds me of what I hear about alien abduction crap when people say they lay paralyzed in bed but that is a medical condition that I can no longer remember the name, but its basically their mind is awake and their body is asleep.

Nice, I didn't know other people went through this.

Also, the feeling of retardness never goes away. I usually use the feeling as an indicator that I'm on the right track. In fact, if you deliberately strive to describe it in the most retarded way, you'll find that you've been the most accurate!  :yay:
