I have been thinking about how to come out of the closet on Facebook. There are so many friends I have there who have only known me as a christian for the last 18 years. Perhaps backing you up could be just the ticket. Besides, you are a northwesterner too, so there is a geographical kinship. lol

If they are friends that you haven't talked to much in a while they probably won't care or say anything.  Even a guy I dated in high school has yet to comment about my posts that are anti-religious in nature and he is like a Jesus poster boy now and knows I use to be really into church.

Well, most of them are folks whom I have spent considerable time with in the past. We would all consider each other lifelong friends...even family. I would be very surprised if they didn't comment. Of course, they may be too speechless and utterly at a loss for words!

I will find out soon enough. :)

It took me some time to work up the nerve to make the change, but finally I realized there was no sense in hiding it anymore--if my friends could have "Christian" in their profile, I could have "Atheist" (although now I have Atheist/Pastafarian, hehe). Funny thing is, no one really noticed until I started posting atheist stuff on my wall. Most of my friends still don't bother me about it, which is nice.

May I ask what part of MT you're from? I have a lot of family over there. My dad was born in Miles City and raised in Butte.

Yep.

Now everyone knows my name!  :D
QuoteI find it mistifying that in this age of information, some people still deny the scientific history of our existence.

I live in Kalispell.

Chimera

Oh, I love Kalispell. Beautiful area. My church used to go camping on Flathead Lake in the summers.

I like the area. I'm not surprised your church group would come over here. Besides being beautiful, this area is jam-packed with churches. There are more church goers here than you can shake a stick at.

Spokane is a nice area as well, though. Most folks from here go there often for concerts, major airline flights, shopping or to see friends.

Chimera

Yeah, I like Spokane. I plan to stick around here for awhile.  :D

Don't we all love Mark Twain?
