Again, we see a facet of evangelical Christianity which contradicts its advertised righteousness used to by its fundamentalist adherents to unconstitutionally promote "Christian values" through government venues ("God" in the Pledge, on money, 10C's on courthouse venues, etc) ...  

In this example, similar to the thousands of evangelical pedophile pastors in the previous years, a Baptist church pastor -- who incidentally was a registered sex offender on probation -- is hired as an associate pastor in an Alabama Baptist church and molests a young boy in the Baptist congregation.  


Harvest Baptist Church Assoc. Pastor Billy Paul Masters

FORT PAYNE, AL (WAFF) - An associate pastor at the Harvest Baptist Church in Crossville was arrested Friday afternoon on sexual abuse charges.

It's the second time Billy Paul Masters, 64, has been accused of abusing a child. Masters was convicted of three counts of first degree sodomy in 2001 and was released from prison in 2007.

Then, while he was on probation for that previous charge, he was arrested again Friday amidst accusations that he abused a boy under the age of 12.

Investigators said the victim was a member of the church. The boy confided in his parents, who called officers to report the crime.

DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris said they've been following masters since January.

"This is always his M.O.," Harris said. "He gets into a situation where there are children he has contact with from time to time. So no good comes out of this. So we hope at this time we got a good enough case it'll stick this time."

Masters is a registered sex offender. He was being held at the DeKalb County Detention Center Friday afternoon.

Maybe in the future it will only be acceptable for priests to have gay sex since they're "closer to god" while normal adult homosexuals are still condemned for having consenting relations.

Actually, this has been occurring quite regularly among evangelical, fundamentalist churches.  The reason why it is not as noticeable is because the news reports concerning pastor pedophilia are treated as local rather than national or even international news as is the case with Catholic priest pedophilia.

Hence, I believe that pastor pedophilia in fundy churches is an even greater problem than has ever existed in the Catholic church.  And this is relevant to the larger issue of the fundy churches attempting to skirt constitutional muster by impinging their doctrines into government venues (pledge, money, etc) by claiming the necessity of their doctrines in fixing US social demise (ie: out of control immorality).  

The despicable sex abuse crimes by fundamentalist clergy contradict their advertised claims.

However, according to your Jesus and your bible, there is only one unforgivable sin: blasphemy.  Matthew 12:31-32 and Luke 12:10

Good point: per evangelical Christianity, all those evangelical Christian pedophiles go to heaven ... meanwhile, say, the 6,000,000 Jews who were executed for being Jewish go to hell to burn eternally ... and their evangelical Christian executioners, even Hitler, join their Christian pedophile bretheren in heaven.
