Anyone play Monster Hunter Tri? Fun game with a steep learning curve, prone to frustrate players. It's a good RPG game in which you can lose yourself for hours. However vegetarians and PETA sympathizers would definitely not like it, seeing as there is much killing of small and often defenceless animals.(WARNING:Run on sentence approaching) But if if spending hours crafting a weapon and matching armour only to find out it will be useless against the monster now looking at you much like you would look at a particularily tender and juicy steak sounds good to you, hop on the bandwagon, pick a sword, and get hunting.

I was just reading about a free Age of Empires online offering.

QuoteCOLOGNE, Germany â€" Aug. 17, 2010 â€" On the eve of gamescom 2010, the world’s largest consumer-oriented games showcase, Microsoft Corp. unveiled the newest addition to the famed “Age of Empires” franchise, “Age of Empires Online.” Microsoft also announced the development of “Microsoft Flight,” a new entry inspired by the best-selling “Microsoft Flight Simulator” franchise. Published by Microsoft Game Studios, these new titles, along with the previously announced “Fable III,” fully integrate the free* Games for Windows â€" LIVE online service to deliver compelling socially connected gameplay experiences.

There's a forum discussing it here http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-re ... ?t=1513560

Ahh the memories.

I play a lot of Guitar Hero/ Rock Band, but I grew up with two older brothers so I like playing Tekken and that sort of thing as well.

For anyone who has not played Kane and Lynch 2, I will attempt to summarise.

You playing a middle aged, balding and overweight psychopath, with an equally violent, but more calculating partner. You stride, demigod like through hails of gunfire, murdering anything that looks like it might be Chinese. You also take in the sights of Shanghai's seedy underbelly.

Not to give away too many spoilers, but my favourite part is when you find yourself naked, sporting about 30 significant lacerations from a stanley knife, all over a foot long, out in a coach parking lot, rain and blood mingling to form a slick covering for the amiable paunch that accompanies you on your genocidal trip through the Chinese gangland.

Has anyone else played this? What about online?

Edit, forgot to say, it's actually quite good, there is a lot of shooting, so it can get a bit samey, but it is certainly gritty.

I mostly play shooter, platformers, adventure/puzzel games, RPGs, and super hero type games.

I usually play under 20 hours of videogames a week, but whenever I get a new one I retreat into my cave until the novelty wears off.

The most recent games I played were Bioshock 2, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, Warhammer Online, Rayman 2 The Great Escape, Donkey Kong 64, and Majora's Mask.

Iron Man, and the Incredible Hulk are coming through the mail, I should get them on tuesday...

I recently brought my N64 out of storage, and now I'm thinking about going even more olde schoole and dusting off my SNES.

Star fox, and Mario prepare yourselves... For here I come!  :bananacolor:

I go between that boyfriend on the GoW3 commercial to non-gamer and back again quite frequently.  That statement is so true, BTW, that my wife got pissed off every time she saw it.  Anyway, I try ot go cheap, so the last game I got was Brutal Legend (so much win), but I got it last month for $10.
All hail Cancer Jesus!

Holy crap Starcraft II is good. When Blizzard say they aren't going to release something until it is completely finished, they mean it. That game is huge!

Let's just say that the last game I've ever played was Monkey Island, which was way back in the 90s.  Not counting Facebook games, I have not been into gaming.

I am actually looking for a video game that a 3 year old girl would be able to play?  She's sick and tired of NickJr.  And I am not willing to let her play plants vs. zombies after the wife got addicted to it, so much so that she quit her job (not really).

Any recommendations?

Anybody play "Company of Heroes"?

Seemed like a pretty good combat game.

There's a new Online version in the works - might even be free:

I'm hopelessly addicted to Mass Effect 1 and 2 currently.  I usually get bored of games within 2-3 months, but not those two.  I keep playing them through over and over, trying new tactics, making new decisions.
My xbox name is Arsaken if anyone plays Modern Warfare 2.

Trials HD on Xbox is one of the most infuriatingly difficult and addictive games i've ever played. It only cost me £7 to buy over xbox live and i simply haven't stopped playing it. I've put more time into it than i have Starcraft II and Halo Reach combined.

If anyone here plays Xbox, get Trials HD. It is awesome.

wow...its like sonic on a bike.  That game would probably give me vertigo on my giant TV.  Looks really frustrating.
Try out Limbo when you get a chance.  You can get it on xbl, as well as a free demo.

I spend way too much time play WoW, an 80 resto shaman on Doomhammer US if anyone wants to play with me<3
I used to be a huge halo fanboy, but sadly my xbox was out of order until earlier this month. Anyone have suggestions for newer games?

I ask theists if God loves us. They say yes.
I read the news paper or look on the web or remember other people's sad stories or remember things that happened to me...and I see that no omnipotent entity loves us.
I ask theists if they can prove their god. They can't.
So, I have excellent reason to

Yes, trials HD on xbox arcade. Halo reach is also pretty badass.

They've just made lots of progress on the star wars Galaxies emulator. The main server should go live fairly soon. If you can get hold of the original game disks from ebay or something, you'll be able to install the EMU and play a free and particularly amazing MMO! :)
