Quote from: "BadPoison"So, a few weeks back, my Xbox red ring of deathed, and so I sent it off to Microsoft for the free repair. To speed things up, they decided to send me a refurbished console. The refurbished system they sent me was broken right out of the box. :sadcry:

Ya...we've had that happen; they claimed they "fixed" it only to send us back something that didn't work at all or failed within an hour of use.  Our white xbox360 is still broken after being sent in more than a couple times.  We bought a new Elite since it has been claimed they don't have the RROD problems.

Well...at least they fix them for free and renew the warranty every time it is 'repaired'...that is more than I can say for most other companies.

I've been so strung up with stress from College lately that I decided to play some games, and since I saw the Modern Warfare 2 trailer a few days before I decided that some CoD4 was in order. I had CoD4 for some time but I never played it online like I did with WaW so I thought I'd give it a go. In about 2 days I've gotten myself to level 14 and I've found a new love for Sniping, even though I'm not the best at it. Oh well, practice make perfect. I feel weird being at a low level after being like, level 48 or somesuch in WaW but I'll get there eventually :]

Also, I signed up to http://360voice.gamerdna.com/ for giggles. It's a little blog like website that makes blogs as you play your games every so many days, but it's as if your Xbox is writing them. It's kinda cute. I signed up 2 days ago so my first entry should be sometime later today. I'm kinda looking forward to it x)

It's so dissapointing. I really hope the next on ethey sent me isn't broken as well. I'm going to be shipping it off today. How do you like your elite?

I remember my iPod breaking which cost as much as my xbox360, and only having a few days left on the warranty. I walked into an apple store and walked out with a new iPod...

Do any of you think Apple will make a console?

It seems unlikely, since all the seem to like doing right now is making new versions of iPods and their PCs and stuff.

Then again, no one rly thought Microsoft would make something, so it's kinda possible '3'

I saw this snippet the other day:

It makes me think that Apple could be gearing up to enter the gaming market as a more serious player. I would think they migh tbe more interested in competing for Nintendo's market share than sony/microsoft's.

Well now, after reading that I am totally interested to see what they come up with o:
With those two on their side they'll be jumping into this with a good Idea of what they're getting into, hopefully.
I wonder what Apple's planning on making/doing and stuff o:
Ffffffffffff now I'm all curious D:

It hasn't had any RROD or any other issues yet.  It allows me to know where my husband is at all times...plopped in front of it.

Sounds like me, except with a PS3.  :headbang:

Yeah - I'd heard that was on the way.  Kind of a "virtual wiimote".

It's been tried before.  The tech may be advanced enough that they can pull it off this time.

The older systems that attempted this had 2 main problems:
1) difficulty mapping limb movements (could be fixed in this one)
2) lack of tactile feedback (still an issue)

Time and the market will tell if this makes a dent in the Wii hold on the concept.

Good Link - Thanks,

BTW "Eye Toy" from Sony is the existing one I was thinking of...

quizlixx

so we've got some others following E3?

If it senses movement as well as the wii remotes, I think it will replace the Wii.
