Hi everyone. I've been an atheist since I was 8 years old. Growing up in rural middle Georgia it didn't take me too long to realize I didn't belong in church. I've always appreciated that my parents respected my feelings about religion. On the rare occasions when I did attend church with them they would joke that the roof might cave in when I walked in  :) .
These days I stay pretty busy taking care of my 2 month old son. I don't have much time for discussions but I'm glad I found this forum. I'll contribute when I can. I'm 37 and married to an agnostic (score!). It's hard to find atheists in my neck of the woods but living in a college town improves my odds. From what I've read this forum seems to have a lot of interesting people. I look forward to meeting some of you.

Welcome, Sean. Ditto about the college town thing. Also ditto about having a non-believer lady. Gotta love those little pockets of liberalism and heathenism tucked away in seas of religious fervor.

Oh, and awesome hair.  :D
