Quote from: "Tom62"Witch killing is still being practiced in the world. There are horrible accounts of witches being killed in Africa, a practice that is on the rise there (South Africa, Tanzania. Ghana etc.). In early modern Europe the estimated number of people executed for witchcraft vary between about 40,000 and 100,000 (source: Wikipedia).

Hmm, according to Stephen Fry, the amount killed in the UK during those horrid times, was just 500. The amount accused was far greater than that but most were actually let off. The preferred method of death was actually by hanging, and not by fire, which is also a misconception apparently.
QuoteI find it mistifying that in this age of information, some people still deny the scientific history of our existence.
