I usually enjoy talking to pretty girls, but there is that weird exeption that popps up now and then. Believe me when I say this was odd.

Some months ago I was approached in the mall by a very beautiful girl who asked if I could tell her the time. Given the fact that she was beautiful and I did knew what time it was I did comply. I also took the opportunity to point at the absurdly huge clock this mall had hanging from the roof.
“Yea. I’ve seen it. It’s pretty huge” she replied.

At this point some alarm bell should have gone of.
“To bad it’s just for show” she giggled.
“It’s real enough” I tried. “See, it’s ticking”
“Oh It does. Silly me. I never noticed” The giggle again. I was about to take my leave when she grabbed my arm and said.
“Thanks for the help” Which struck me as an odd thing to say. “So you are here to shop to I guess” I smiled and said that this was the case.
“Yea me to. I have a new boyfriend and I promised him dinner tonight”
“Really. Well good luck then” I was starting to feel a little uncomfortable.
“Oooh I’m not a very good cook” One other thing with this girl was that she had no comprehension of personal space. I actually took a step back. In which she followed still grabbing my arm.
“I mean with you new boyfriend” I hurried to say.
“Oh yea. Sorry” There it was again, the giggle that I had come to dread this very day. AND, right out of nowhere!
Do you have kids? We gonna have kids in 3 years you know” I swear I did try to carve my way trough the counter behind me.
“You do” I said hoarsely. It dawned to me that I was stuck in a whirlpool of a verbal nightmare.
“ Yea. It takes two ya know to make it work”
“Yes it does, doesn’t it” I whispered. She didn’t seem to notice, and If she was referring to the relationship or the very act of making babies, I did not allow my self to speculate upon.
“You know! You should get a girlfriend. It’s so nice”
“Actually I have a…”
“That’s cool. Do you live together” Right here I started eyeing possible escape routes.
“Not exactly but…”
“You probably will. You are a keeper. I can tell”
“You can” was all I manage to get out in fascinated horror.
“Yea” giggle. “Any man who does the shopping is a keeper. But ya know. It’s been nice. I have a dinner appointment” Giggle… “You come here often”
“Well sometimes, but listen”
“Probably see you around then” Giggle “I can tell you if he liked my dinner” At which point possible and horrifying futures flashed before my eyes.
Then she patted me on the chest, giggled some more and left me watching her walk on in to obscurity.
I realized all this had happen in just 2 minutes.

When I came home my girlfriend looked up from a book. I went straight over, gave her a kiss and said!
“Thank you for being who you are” Needless to say this made her give me strange and puzzled looks the rest of the day.

If anyone can top that conversation, you have my respect. :hail:

hm, very strange indeed. Was she average looking or could you have predicted that she was a little Kooky?
[size=85]So why does there only have to be one correct philosophy?
I don't wanna go and follow you just to end up like one of them
And why are you always telling me what you want me to believe?
I'd like to think that I can go my own way and meet you in the end

She was cute but average in the sense that she didn't look like a kookoo

Needless to say my view of her change rapidly.

Whoa! That was kooky, man!

You will probably end up on some dumbass reality TV show or something. Maybe a prank show, like Candid Camera, but with loony people!  :D

That girl is weird.  Maybe she was playing a prank on you? D:  At least she was attractive and not OLD like the people who randomly hit on me...

This one time I was grabbing some Chinese food by myself after work in a little local place.  I had already sat down and had notice this late-30-something-year-old guy had kept looking at me.
When I sat down, he came to my booth, and apparently had recognized me from the community college had gone to.  I was polite and didn't say anything when he sat down.

He proceeded to tell me about his brain tumor and how he liked the national guard but couldn't join, and then started talking about his girlfriend, who was the same age as his mom, as he told me.  Then he told me that, since he has a girlfriend, I shouldn't "cross the line" and flirt with him. x_x;;;

After that, he asked about my boyfriend, so I talked about him for a little bit.  Afterwards, this guy said "I wish I were your boyfriend".

Anyway, I quickly finished my food and left.  I did see him in the bank once after that, but I left really quickly. ^^;

Similarly, at university, I was in a room with vending machines and some tables, just sitting on my laptop waiting for a club to start.  This other guy who also doesn't seem to be completely with it comes over and starts asking about my boyfriend, if we've been together long and if we get along alright.  No idea who this person is, just somebody random.  Blargh x_x

My guess is she was a pick pocket. She was casing you out. You obviously kept a decent guard about you (i'm assuming you didn't lose your wallet or phone that day?) because she steered the conversation towards having a girlfriend. I'm guessing someone without a girlfriend is more susceptible to the charms of a lady. The fact that you were in a mall (people have money in a mall) and she tried to misdirect you by looking at the clock - all really good pointers to her mode of thought. Also, touching someone makes them less aware of what that person's other hand is doing, ie, searching your jacket pockets etc. Misdirection is the key.

Either that or she was in laa-laa land.

The same thing happened to me in Prague. I saw it coming a mile off, so pretended to be German and forcefully pushed the woman away (she was obviously making attempts to feel for what was in my pockets). She started swearing at me as a rather large man with a hoody appeared from the shadows of a nearby alley. I jumped into a cab fast and went back to my hotel.

I hate theives.

Have you considered the fact that maybe she was just a very insecure (and not too bright) girl, that was attracted to you?
It appears that way to me. I payed my way through college as a musician, and I have tried many insecure girls coming on to me. That  is pretty much what it is like... Oh and the "trapped" feeling, I know that one all too well!

Would an insecure person really walk up to a stranger in a mall and probe them obvious questions?

I'd have thought an insecure person would be the last to try that..

Insecure persons are helplessly attracted to other people, the same as everyone. And when they come on, they appear weird, instead of selfconfident and funny.

You might be right though, just wanted to state that it is an option. And girls do say some weird stuff, when they are trying. Basically because they are used to the male trying hard, not themselves.

That is a very good point.
