Here's a pretty good brief article on methane hydrates as a fuel source that I think captures the core issues quite well.  Interesting read for those interested in energy and climate.  This whole subject is freaking me out a bit lately and I wonder if we could ever actually safely consider this a fuel source.

It's the first I've heard about this.  It sounds promising, but I didn't like the potentially catastrophic element I didn't like so much.
