Yes I was laid off the day after confining in a fellow worker that I was in fact an atheist... It came out of the blue
after years with the company, they called it reduction of force... I later heard from another worker that it was
all the buzz that they had got rid of a atheist... But it worked out for the best, I have my own business now...

CC is not the first or last to be let go due to being atheist. A lot of people stay in the closet like being Jewish 30 years ago. I can be open about my lack of belief only because I work for a big Federal contract.

Of course there is ALWAYS a cover story...

So it really does feel good to be here with people that don't drink poison, talk in tongues, and handle rattlesnakes on the weekend...

And yet being atheist makes you the freak....I'll never get it.
