But can you imagine living a life hardly being able to walk and having people constantly worshiping and just plain gawking at you? On the full segment on TV it showed the little girl crying when people crowded around her. Her mother said she hated it. They couldn't get the people to leave.

I was being sarcastic. The world in most part is voyeur.You can't watch tv,pick up a magazine or read a book without looking into someone else's life.Even after having surgery for something like that she will still have to live with cameras.Atleast for a little while.

Whew, you had me going there for awhile. But I get what you're saying. It's pretty pathetic really. Our lives aren't good enough so we snoop into others'. Lakshmi's family moved far away from their old village to get away from some of the attention. I hope it worked.

Well it could be either way.I'm sure children that see the show see that even though she may look different she is just like everyone else.And with the surgery how anyone can conquer fear.Plus just a lesson in how it's not nice to stare,that it does hurt.
