Homo sapiens in the news

Hearing about another conflict today on the Cambodian border with Thailand.
That's in addition to the dozens already raging.
Isn't it about time we renamed our species?
We are not wise or intelligent.

May I suggest:

Homo bellicosus. We never have a time of peace.

Homo lazyarses. We are lazy. We seek anything to make our lives easier.

Homo religiosus. We believe in the supenatural and call it religion.

Homo spoutingbollocksus. We communicate mainly with lies and fake news.

Bellicosus FTW. We aren't top predator for no reason. Now, a lot of people can be in the other categories because of the vicious ones clearing the way.

It's been a good week for Homo lazyarses.

Previously we were told that taking 10,000 steps a day (about 4 miles) is good for you.
Now it's down to 7,000 steps a day (about 3 miles).

That should provide more time for putting up feet and watch TV.
