I posted the above to two websites, one thought it was funny and the other banned me for three days for name calling. Think about it.

As for OG's, there is no 'lh' sound in English as far as I know, maybe if he sees this thread he could confirm.

Velho - 'vɛʎu

Here's a link to the Forvo clips: http://pt.forvo.com/word/velho/#pt

It wasn't the pronunciation that gave me a pause (tho it would have if I'd tried), it was what it implied.

Informally 'cretino' is not the same as 'cretin' in English, it's used very often to designate someone who can be bold, sometimes disrespectful and inconvenient. Essentially to most religious people, atheists or anybody who questions religious beliefs are 'cretinos' or 'cretinas'.

OG is anything but a cretin, that's far from what I wanted to imply. :sadshake:

Bruno = O Bonito

If you want to make that redundant then I suggest you go around telling people that you are Bruno, o bonito lindo.

Ok, Tez. But first I have to ask why you chose that name because 'scissor legs' in Portuguese (pernas em tesoura/pernas arqueadas) is a medical condition in which legs are bent outwards below the knee.

I'm assuming this is not what you meant... :P
