I googled mine and got a song by someone named Paula Fernandes. Sounds like she's pretty popular in Brazil.

I think OG's is my favourite :)

I agree, but I also think JJ's is really cool, and Books is awesome!

She might be, that music genre is called "sertanejo" which is the most popular music genre in Brazil. Not exactly something I like and listen to, though, so I really wouldn't know.  :P

I like JJ's -- it sounds French when I say it.  Which, since it's Portuguese, means I can't be saying it right.  OG's gave me quite a pause.

I love it? How is it pronounced? There is a huge Portuguese-speaking population where I work and I honestly don't get pronounciation at all. But I love it when it is explained to me. Such interesting in sounds in much of it.

So far my favorite thing ever is a fresh little terrier named Ratinho.

When I'm bored I hold conversations with myself online, like this back in 2008:

Quote"Hi."

"Hi."

"Hi."

"I just said "Hi", you can't reply back "Hi"."

"Why not?"

"Because you can't."

"Why not?"

"Because I already responded to your greeting."

"So."

"So? So, you just can't say "Hi" after someone already says "Hi" back!"

"Why not?"

"Because...it's a rule."

"A rule? That's stupid."

"Are you calling me stupid."

"No, I said "that's stupid", meaning the statement is stupid, not that you're stupid. But now that i think of it: yeah, you're stupid."

"You just called yourself stupid."

"No I didn't. I called you stupid."

"I am you."

"No you're not. You're you, and I'm me."

"We're the same person, stupid."

"Don't call me stupid, stupid."

"But you're stupid if you don't know that we're the same person."

"We're not."

"What's your name."

"Nam."

"So's mine."

"Coincidence."

"It's a coincidence that we have the same name?"

"Many people have the same name; are you saying that people with the same name are the same person?"

"That's not what I'm saying."

"You just stated that since we have the same name that we're the same person."

"But we are the same person."

"Prove it."

"I..I..."

"See, you can't prove it."

"Look Buddy..."

"My name is Nam, not Buddy."

"It's an expression."

"If you say so."

"I do say so."

"Okay."

"Okay."

"So, what's your name?"

"I just told you my name."

"Oh, yeah."

"Sheesh, you're stupid."

"You're stupid, stupid."

"So's your mother."

"Hey! leave my mother out of this. What did she ever do to you?"

"She birthed you."

"Well, according to you "Oh Mr. Smarty Pants" she's your mother, too."

"My name is 'Nam' not "Smarty Pants", stupid."

"It's an expression; you know, like the one you used on me."

"Oh, yeah."

"What were we talking about?"

"I don't remember."

"Whatever. I'm going to bed."

I don't know how the French would say it but it would be pronounced jahkeejoombo (same 'j' as in the French 'je'). As for OG's, there is no 'lh' sound in English as far as I know, maybe if he sees this thread he could confirm.

Velho - 'vɛʎu
