If there's one thing the atheists need in this world, it's a central point to gather, a place for us all to come and discuss philosophy or what not. A centralized and well known place would help bring out a lot of the atheists who have yet to make a public appearance. I'd like to think this website is just such a place. It may not be a physical spot but it's a start. So let's try to keep the ones who found their way here...here, and not sending them to different websites all over the web.

Hi nogodforme22, I hope you decide to stick around and post.  It looks like  your site has a nice start with some good blog entries.

Sam, you should check out www.meetup.com there are atheists getting together in 'real life.'  I appreciate that you like this forum so much, but it is by far not the largest atheist forum out there...they all appeal to different types of personalities and in the sense of getting greater exposure, more is good.  For shared political goals, it would be nice if we could organize all atheists to go to one spot to check in, so to speak, I think that was the intent when they created American Atheists.

, the part about heathens is funny but the site is not a joke...I have attended meetups and now run a meetup here in dallas.
