Far too many people at each other's throats around here lately. And if that's not rant-worthy, I don't know what is.

Seriously, all seemed peaceful and quiet here this morning, but all hell seems to have broken loose this afternoon.

What the politician in me finds somewhat distasteful though, is the overall willingness to minimize the damage... The more-or-less lack of it, really.

I feel like if anybody tries to remedy it, the whole thing will just flare up again, making any attempt to remedy the situation futile. Maybe the best thing to do is really just to leave it at that and settle things in PMs where they have no chance of inciting opinions for now.

I just came upon the fire (I'm on a very short vacation while my son does his college orientation) and I swear I didn't start it!
I'm staying out of things this time since I've been out of the loop. I'm gonna enjoy these three days off, dammit!

The problem is, most of the time I have no idea who is doing this stuff (besides the garbage shoot shenanigans, that's someone on our floor). The rest of the stuff could be anyone in the building, and there are over 150 apartments in my building, so I have nowhere to direct my rage and/or possible retribution. 

Obviously the only sensible choice is a kind of scattergun of hostility.  Since you don't know which one of your neighbors is responsible, you must terrorize all of them.  It's the only way.

I like it.

Also, maybe I'll start hiding in the garbage shoot and when I hear someone come in the garbage room and set their shit on the floor I'll leap out with a triumphant "AH-HAA!!!" That'd be pretty scary.
