I like anything vulgar. Lots of rich detail and colour, loads of stuff happening, the more disgusting the better. Remedias Varo, Jaroslaw kukowski, Jean-Marie Poumeyrol, Shintaro Kago (good fun), Gustav Klimt...

I also found this the other day. Not that keen on the artist overall - Ryohei Hase, does album covers and stuff - but I liked this enough to make it my wallpaper:

I've dabbled in oil painting here and there, and I've always liked impressionist artists. Degas has always been my favourite.

My creator Norman Lindsay had a thing for naked woman.
If he hadn't wasted his time in this way he could have painted me some better hats, and I wouldn't have to steal them.
And would it have killed him to give me a pair of generously proportioned buttocks?  Na, just gives me spindly legs, bastard.
Ye, I understand children who resent their parents.

When I was a kid a Labor government bought a Pollock, Blue Poles to much ridicule.  Jack The Dripper has a place in the political history of my country.  When the conservatives took government they didn't sell the painting, it had quadrupled or whatever in value.  It had played it's part.

This may cause an outrage, but I've always thought that Dali is a bit over-rated.  :P
Well like what we like and hate what we hate...I kinda like what I know of Dali but don't have any rage to outcast.

They're not real.

Ahhh Davin, Davin, Davin.
You like so many others misunderstand the nature of art.
Those are more real than real.
They are of a higher plane of real.
They are real injected directly into your brain.  ;)

OMG!!!  :o I am so outraged that you don't like something I like!!!!!!  >:( Obviously the things I like make me superior and you not liking them means you just don't get and are inferior!!!!!!  :'(

I don't use smileys very much, hopefully that helps show the non-seriousness.

I do like M.C. Escher. But growing up in Montana I have always liked some of the Western artist that portray the life I knew as a child and grew up with

C.M Russell. Incidentally, my grandfather knew C.M. Russell and at one time in his life owned some doodles that he had done on scraps of paper that they were using to keep score of card games. I wish I knew where those went.
