There's nothing worse than narrow-minded intolerance. We've yet to see how the modern scientific age can usher in new thought to wipe away the dust of the past. With some help we can give it a running start. That's what I think.

I can't blame you for joining in as I sent you a PM suggesting it :D
However I should point out that there is a 10 post 'probation' where we like to get to know people a little before we get onto the deep stuff!
So what gets Jonesboy out of bed in the morning?
Welcome to the club.
Chris
Hello and welcome to HAF, Jonesboy. I agree that narrow-minded intolerance is hugely detrimental to the well-being of our species. As Tank pointed out, we'll have to wait a bit before getting into the relative merits of a scientific view of the world.
I hope you enjoy your time reading and posting here. (https://www.happyatheistforum.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg830.imageshack.us%2Fimg830%2F860%2Fsmilew.gif&hash=8238eab24d16418eb1c8cd60d971239ab1363c74)

Tell me about it. ;) I encountered it up close and personal on this forum. Please by forewarned: I've been condemned by the godly as a propagandist. Anyway, you are most welcome to our world, planet mayhem. The important thing is to have fun and learn a thing or two, speak softly and carry a thick skin and a big stick.
Tank has a minion..! :o
Quick, I must invite a dozen of me homies over to maintain the balance of power!
Oh... Did I say that out loud...? :-\

Hi Jonesboy, and welcome. The only things I want to know about you are, are you Welsh and are you a complete nutter?

Do Norwegians have Neanderthal genes then? I have met some nice ones in Bergen. But their tones are funny. Have you noticed that?

Ah, Bergen..! Yes, I did notice that :P A nice enough place when it isn't raining though.
Ah! I don't have a minion I simply saw Jonesboy having a look around and suggested he could post without fear. I didn't invite him from another forum. In fact the only member here that I have a long non-HAF relationship with is Velma who I first met on Richard Dawkins Forum in Jan 2006 where she was one of the first people to say Hi to me ;D
No minion..? So Asmodean the Clayish One is safe in his plots and schemes of World Domination? ;D

Trondheim and Tromsø, I love them. Spent many a happy moment in both those places. Getting used to Trondheim in the summer was difficult. It reminded me of Erik Skjoldbjærg's Insomnia. No murders though.

I lived in Tromsø and found it rather disagreeable, mainly beause of the wind in winter and the mess of less-than-car-friendly streets on the island itself. However, the place had quite a lot of pubs per capita, a very nice cable car accessible restaurant, an aquarium with like... Fish and stuff and some agreeable nature not far from city limits.

Don't tell me, I live in a country of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference. :'(
Cool sig - When you can reign in hell, why serve in heaven?
(I have a really boring text to translate right now, and couldn't help it)
Edit:
"Better to reign in hell than serve in Heaven"
Damn, close.
I like Latin 8)
When the Magic Pudding starts posting here again, you could ask him to make you a "plotting world domination" lumpy...that would be cool 8)

The second translation is correct. I myself understand it from Italian and don't need to translate it.
8)
I forgot to mention in the introduction that I can speak Italian very good(but writing it is another story).
I speak Brazilian Portuguese, which is a bit further removed from Latin than Italian, but some of the terms look a bit familiar, especially after playing Assassin's Creed II and Brotherhood, which are set in Italy, a few times. ;D

Careful that you don't become your enemy. I think that the modern scientific age is rapidly becoming the dark age, but that is my opinion. I think that technology can give us the best we can do, which is a great deal better but not as good as Jehovah God can give.
Zeitgeist (Science And Technology) (http://thedaystar.webs.com/prologue.html#/zeitgeist)
We can talk about that later, though. Hello and welcome.

That's an interestingly self contradictory introduction! You can think it, but don't say it out loud ;)
Science doesn't seem to appeal to the religious. You can lead a horse to water...
Welcome.

I couldn't agree more. The narrow-minded irritate me to a ceaseless end.

I wouldn't be too sure about that have you ever seen 'The Blob" he may look harmless but that's just to lure us in. He already got sweetdeath, although I cant prove anything.
