I have notice that we seem to have quite a lot of teenagers here, and that some members are quite a lot older than me. This is unlike the skeptics meet I went to which was full of 30 somethings.
So how old are you?
My sociology teacher told me that faith increases in older people, perhaps in fear of death. Bearing in mind the age weighting of the internet, this may not be true.
I'm 25, but I look and act younger for the most part. :3
I'll be 30 in january
I'm 25.
34 here.
I am a curmudgeon at 57.
20 year old here.
I'm 28 as of last Wednesday. I'm old enough to remember watching Airwolf on TV but not old enough to have seen the pilot episode of Magnum P.I.

Your sociology teacher is correct about the age issue. However, the increase in religiosity has not been directly linked to fear of death, yet (as far as I've read). It is usually attributed to an increase in conservativism as one ages. That said, increases in conservativism and religiousity have been shown to be a result of mortality salience manipulations (see Terror Management Theory). Therefore, I would think that the assumption that the fear of death, as one ages, would definitely have an impact on these two variables. I work with a couple of Terror Management Theory researchers and it seems like a good hypothesis.
Another twist to the whole mortality salience issue is that ultimate goal is to reduce this salience. So, it could be that when we see so called "mid-life crises", it may be the result of reducing mortality salience. And since religion tends to bring up the "when your dead" topic a lot, perhaps that is why you see a large number of 30 somethings in other forums.
So anyway, yeah, I'm 30.......and apparently bored. ;D
I'm 18.
Born Dec' '59 so 51 ATM.
I'm 64. I get a free bus pass but no pension until next year. And I'm not about to take on board a load of superstitious bullshit, just because I probably won't live much longer. ;D
40 in December!
I'm 27 but cause Im a bit *coughround* and maybe the way I dress, people think Im younger
some ask me If I finished my studies
The number keeps changing all the time, and it's really just a state of mind, and you're only as old as you feel, and people age like wine, getting better as they get older, and...
I guess I can't stall any longer.
But I'll make you work for it. I'm 283.15 in degrees Kelvin.
:)
I'll be 38 at the end of the month.
Fifteen.
I'm 23 years of age, but like to play as if I'm 7 and some people say I look like I could pass for 12 if it weren't for my boobs.
23+7+12=42
42 is the answer to all questions :-)
14 here. Yupper. Wow.....0.o
Hello, young people~!
10,654 days old for another hour and 10 minutes. Or about 255,656 hours, or 15,341,760 minutes, or 920,505,600 seconds old. All approximations of course, and subject to change.
I'm 27. Hi btw, I'm new here.

I'm often astonished to find out how young some people are when they post something profound. (I'm equally astonished at how old others are when they post childish nonsense!)
I try not to take too much notice of age when reading posts, but the occasional reminder can be useful in training oneself not to prejudge people in real life.

That's how I feel. Kids just stress me out. Ugh, hate those buggers. I can be plently immature with my friends in their early 30's. :)
Kids are stressful, true enough. But so awesome to play with lego again, and draw silly pictures, and go play in the park, and go on adventures of discovery in the big city, and crawl in the mud looking for creatures... love it!

I'm not sure I entirely believe that faith increases with age. With each new generation there are more and more atheists so it stands to reason that you're going to see more younger atheists than older ones.
Also, I'm 32.
