I quit watching after the second one and never finished reading the books, though my sister was nice enough to spoil the ending. I figure I will wait until the last one comes out on dvd and start watching them all then.
The movies are crappy compared to the books though. they leave out really, really important infotmation and even changed scenes entirely.
Movies have to though. You spend many hours reading a book but they have to get this all into only 2 hours in a movie.

I have noticed it is much better when they turn books into tv shows. Granted, I'm basing that purely on HBO's Game of Thornes, but that show stays pretty true to the book. The big difference being they can spend 10 hours covering one book, it makes it much more enjoyable.
I know, Stevil.  It's the reason why I prefer books ocer movies, though it is fun sometimes when they do a really good job, like Lord of the rings.

@Think anarchy:  Yes, that does seem better!  Like what they did for "sword of truth" aka "Legend of the seeker."  Too bad they cacelled it. I loved that show ;;

Though they do fuck things up in series as well, likr True blood. That show is aweful compared to the novels.   If somrone dies in the novel, they shouldn't remain alive in the show. *roll eyes*

Meh, i'm a bookworm. Also, I have the habit, if I picture someone a certain way in a book, and they look totally different in the movies, it is annoying as fuck.

Perfect example, I don't know how the fuck in the movie "Interview with the vampire" they got Antonio bonderas to play Armand, when he's a 15 year old redheaded Russian boy. Good job guys x_X  that was always the only thing that bothered me. Other than that, I actually liked the movie more than the book.

Just got back from the cinema and I liked the film, particularly the bit after the credits.

I loved all the films, they manage to transport you from a harsh hum drum world into a (no pun intencded) magical world full of wonder and adventure.

Although I have only one thing to say to all the brain dead Christians who have a hate fest on Harry Potter and that is CRUCIO !!

If only !  ;D

I hate when they make me feel like an idiot. I pronounce odd names the first way I read them throughout the book. Then they turn it into a movie and I feel like a dumb ass for pronouncing Hermione incorrectly.

I do the same sort of thing, but I just assume they got it wrong  :D

I loved everything about the last two movies, besides Dumbledore. The actor who plays him always makes Dumbledore seem so grumpy and mean, DUMBLEDORE WASN'T GRUMPY AND MEAN! Not in the books, anyway. Hrumpf.
"We've thought of life by analogy with a journey, with pilgrimage which had a serious purpose at the end, and the THING was to get to that end; success, or whatever it is, or maybe heaven after you're dead. But, we missed the point the whole way along; It was a musical thing and you were supposed to sing, or dance, while the music was being played.

Lol, it's ok ThinkAnarchy.  I'm always pronouncing ACCIO incorrectly.

I wish they went more into Dumbledore's past in the movies.   Especially with his wizard crush.

Well, they were known to sort of burn witches and redheads and those movies have both.  8)

I always thought it was more like ack-io. Like you're coughing up a hairball followed by -io.
