Quote“David’s death is a result of the hatred planted in Uganda by U.S. evangelicals in 2009,” Val Kalende, the chairwoman of one of Uganda’s gay rights groups, said in a statement. “The Ugandan government and the so-called U.S. evangelicals must take responsibility for David’s blood.”

Ms. Kalende was referring to visits in March 2009 by a group of American evangelicals, who held rallies and workshops in Uganda discussing how to turn gay people straight, how gay men sodomized teenage boys and how “the gay movement is an evil institution” intended to “defeat the marriage-based society.”

What can I say, a noble man's life taken for such stupid evil repulsive reason.

Man, the evangelicals are on a roll lately. Killing off gay Ugandans, kidnapping Hatian kids, causing a ruckus at dead soliders' funerals....almost sounds like the mafia!

Honestly, I think there has to be some kind of repercussions for this. Scott Lively, Don Schmierer and the other leaders of the Evangelicals who went on that anti-gay crusade to Ethiopia in 2009 are nothing more than America's version of Al Qaeda. They should be charged for crimes against humanity and maybe even genocide by the International Criminal Court, and upon being found guilty, strung up by their toenails in public for everyone to see. The same goes for the Ethiopean government which is currently trying to pass a bill that would make it legal to execute gays. If ever there is a situation where military intervention is needed from the UN to prevent genocide, this is it. It is absolutely outrageous that a person's sexual preference could result in the death penalty and one of the worst human rights violations I have ever seen. Yet this is what these evangelicals preach! Intolerance & hatred for others who are different from themselves. I have never been one for supporting censorship...but quite honestly...I think Evangelical groups like these should be considered terrorist organizations by the U.S. government, and treated like the dangerous wackos they are.

P.S. - I'm not gay, just in case your wondering, so don't think I have some type of bias in this opinion.

The Westboro croutons (I know a crouton is dried bread thing, but it sounds right) have been denied entry to the UK.
So they seem to be recognised as a threat, just as neo Nazis and other religious loons are.
The less advanced countries seem easier prey for them.
