Because the current statues for certainty don't prevent enough innocent people from getting caught in it.  IMO, it shouldn't be about how heinous it is, but about how certain it is that this guy did it.  If the case is mostly circumstantial, life in prison.  If it's a matter of the guy being caught with the murder weapon in his possession and the body being encrusted in his semen, however, there's a bit more of a certainty that he did it and good reason to execute his murdering ass.

Gay Marriage Equality before the law for all sexual orientations that do not include harmful and illegal activities, like screwing alter boys.

They should just abolish the whole thing as a legal institution and instead let you register your boyfriend/girlfriend/fleshlight on your driver's license for the sake of hospital visits and such.  Paternity would be registered on the birth certificate of the child and the whole archaic system of who own whom be done away with outside of church.

Providing Universal Healthcare Not if it means a general decrease in the quality of it.

It will only mean a decrease in the quality of it for the richest of the rich.  For those of us on HMOs or medicare, it's a lateral move anyway, but now we can afford it and for those with no coverage at all, it's a shift up.  Besides, the rich could still buy plans that cover them for more stuff.

Granted that a lot of people did vote him in solely because he was Black however that isn't the case for many people. I voted before him because he made McCain lose his temper in debates, because he promised an end to politics as usual and candidate Obama sound fairly progressive, more progressive than the last few presidents we have. My only concern about the fact that he is black is that this may backlash against the black community because they will be pretty down in the dumps, violence in Chicago dropped sharply in black communities once Obama had gotten elected because nearly everyone did vote him in because he was black. I voted for him because candidate Obama seemed like he would have the balls to handle his business opposed to a war hawk who wanted to ramp up the war and cut back on spending period back home where it count the most.

McCain was a poor candidate. I think it would have been an interesting run for Obama to go up against Ron Paul. The claims that Ron Paul would be more of Bush would be groundless and the dedication of young voters among the two would have made it a nail biter. Of course republicans have gotten super retarded in the past decade and cater to right wing religious nuts who are going out of style. So Paul was destined to not be elected. Though I would have liked it.

A lot of liberal whites felt good voting for him as well but couldn't pin a single stance of his on an issue. That's my beef. We have McCain who had no business running for president and then we have Obama who has no real experience in dealing with executive levels of government. It'd be like giving a guy who was an area manager of wal-mart the whole run of the company with less than 2 years of experience under his belt.

Frankly, I think the only thing he's fucking up on is actually trying to appeal to the GOP. President Obama isn't as bold as Campaign Obama. He's not fighting like hell on all the left wing stuff he promised to bring to the country because instead he thinks it's important to gain republican support.

What he should do is just say: STFU! I'M THE FUCKING PRESIDENT! GET THE HELL OVER IT! STOP CALLING ME A SOCIALIST FASCIST MUSLIM, AND LET ME FIX THE FUCKING ECONOMY! It's not so much that. Bush just was like "Haters gonna hate" and did as he pleased. Not that it was good but at least Bush didn't let his detractors stop him from doing his job. The problem the Republicans have is that they have no viable candidates aside from Romney and Huckabee.  Huckabee might stand a chance, but not Romney.  Romney can't use healthcare as an issue because he signed off on a much more liberal plan in MA.  Romney can't code race into the argument either, because of Mormonism's history with it.

Huckabee, on the other hand, would be an ideal Republican candidate, because he could unite the religious right and the social moderates.  His 2008 campaign was magnificently handled, giving a small-state unknown a national stage, and a natural springboard.

You know he also is very good at speaking into a camera and appealing to your knuckle dragger crowd. I don't agree with every I see but a imagine a Huckabee/Paul ticket. You'd have a huge following going especially if Obama fails even further at living up to his promises.

Conservatives need to ditch these crazy assholes. They aren't real conservatives, they are just autocrat nutjobs who use God and Gays and (sadly) Guns as a way to leverage other people to wallow in machismo ignorance. The first two is a person's preference, the second to me is important to maintain a truly free state.
