The video is basically some Christians saying that they aren't allowed to voice their minds and are being bullied into submission by the evil homosexuals and secularists who value equality.  WTF?

Yikes, I got through 4 minutes of it and my ADHD kicked in, the violin in the background and mellow voice nearly put me to sleep.  I particularly liked when the little boy tried to pull out a bible and read it in class....like that would happen.  And "all of the studies show homosexuals abuse alcohol, are in abusive relationships, want to commit suicide, and are routinely infected with STDs"????? WTF is right Whitney!  Pretty sickening.  (I must say I love that Dallas ISD went to school on good friday this year, hehe, thank you bad weather make up day!)

I feel both infuriated, and saddened when I see things like this. They act like it is so evil to want acceptance and legitimacy by society at large -- to not be hatred, thought repugnant, or be referenced as an insult.

I am also very much annoyed with the obsession with sex. Being gay doesn't just involve sex, and it is no more parading my bedroom down the street to mention that I have a wife rather than a husband than it is for a straight woman to mention that she has a husband rather than a wife.

It is this complete denial and rejection of my entire identity that infuriates me the most. To them it is a sexual perversion, a paraphilia, a crime deserving of eternal punishment, and death, and that is all.

What is especially disgusting is their naming of the high percentage of suicide attempts by gays, gays teenagers being the group most likely to attempt it. It is well known why this is -- it is the perniciousness of the very slanders, homophobia, and hate speech they are attempting to defend. It is telling young people to stop feeling sexual desire, and that they are disgusting perverts that God thinks belongs in hell for feelings as they do.

It is being surrounded by peers that openingly, and often  espoused their disgust and hatred for you -- it is the hiding and the fear of detection, humiliation, and complete destruction of your social and family life.

The hate crimes of other groups are at least external -- the groups that suffer the racism in the general public can at least go home, and be comforted by their family... for gay people it is quite different, your family is almost always from who it cuts the deepest, and the fear of detection is the strongest. You're completely alone, with no one to talk with, to console you, to accept you, and to tell you that you're not disgusting.  

This isn't about taking away the right to dissent, or even say terrible things. It isn't illegal to be a racist, but in a public environment, people need protection from hate speech, belittlement, and harassment. In a situation, such as a school where one has no choice but to go, and doesn't have the option of walking away, or removing oneself from the presence of the attackers -- one need protection.

They don't like it and they don't like being told not to speak out against it.  They also warp whatever it is they are lashing out against by making it something it's not, hence they say that homosexuals have STDs and run around having sex all over the sidewalks.  They don't care who it hurts because they don't consider them worthy of any empathy or compassion, they just want their control back and will do and say what they need to to obtain that objective.  It's very sad and upsetting but also very typical, unfortunately.
