Normally, it's their greatest hits.  "Drunk again? Imagine that!"  "Why don't you find a job?"  But lately,  there have been some sure to be future classics. "Why are you spending so much time with my brother?" And the heart wrenching "I don't know how much more of this I can take."

"Drunk again? Imagine that!" is such a classic country song, I also like, "u dont even try to like my band" and "U got me an oil change fer my birthday, you cheap dick"!

This one goes out to xSilverPhinx.

Been listening to some Nina Simone tonight, just picking through some of the CD's I have.

Takes me back to nights sipping on martinis in the small, but vibrant smoke filled clubs down in what was called the Rivertown area of Detroit, places like the Soup Kitchen, Woodbridge Tavern, BC's, Rivertown Saloon, and the Rhinoceros Club.
They're all gone now, pushed out by the big casino's in the early 2000. Some of these clubs and taverns had existed since the prohibition era. My two favorites were the Soup Kitchen, and the Rhinoceros Club.
Bands like the Robert Noll Blues Mission, James Glass, Buddy Guy, Duke Tumatoe, Buddy Rich and Matt "Guitar" Murphy to name a few. (I sat a table directly in front of Matt while he played the blues only feet away from me. Most folks will recognize him from the Blues Brothers Movie)

Anyway back to Nina Simone, I want need to find a copy of her live recording front the 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival where she sang and performed songs such as this one "Ain't Got No/i Got Life".     Awesome...

Same song, but performed a year earlier in London.

"Some people just need a high-five. In the face. With a chair."

Been self-medicating with the latest album from Avantasia. Cures all manner of depression.

Interesting commercial featuring a talented pianist and a unique piano:

They actually built a piano where all the keys are Middle-C for the spot.

... and there's a free album of songs played on it available on Google Play.

Messes with my head.

Awesome video, thanks for posting this Joe.

This guy's muscle memory is fantastic, as I can't believe he can play so accurately when each note is the same...again awesome.

Stevie Ray Vaughn playing Little Wing....I've listened to this a thousand times. Pure Poetry.

Stevie performing "Life By the Drop"....

No wasted time....We're alive today
Churnin' up the past....There's no easier way
Time's been between us....A means to an end
God it's good to be here walkin' together my friend

Messing around on spotify and I discovered a band called Kaleo from Iceland.  They have that chilled out Indie-folk vibe.  I like them...
