Are men made for war and women made for love? Nothing could be more ridiculous.

As with so many compressed subjects, the answer to your question is; "it depends."

The vast majority of active frontline combatants are men. does it mean men are made for war? Perhaps. Perhaps not. I suspect a lot - if not a sizable majority - of parents-to-be don't want their children to experience war in any shape, and so they don't make children for war.

Biologically speaking, however, men tend to be a few of those things that help with fighting wars. For instance, men are generally stronger than women, are more expendable (One man can father tens of children each year for decades. One woman - not so much) and more aggressive/competitive. Are they made for war? here, I take issue with the phrasing of the question. Rather than "made for," we as a species evolved in such a way as for the males to generally be better at it.

It's broadly the same story with women being made (or not) for love. The answer depends on the precise scope of the inquiry. There are frames of reference in which everyone is "made for" love. There are others in which love is irrelevant. There are others still in-bnetween.
