There is a half km section of road on the bus ride to Gloucester with five, yes, five, bus stops. When one is in a hurry there will be at least two, possibly  lonely, elderly people who have to have a three minute conversation with the driver then search for their bus passes for another two minutes at every friggin stop!

Supplimentary question, why can't people have their passes/debit/credit cards or wallet/purse in their hand ready when they board buses or reach the checkout?

Wanted to get in contact with Amazon customer service. Typed that in the search line and was offered loads of books, mostly £2.50ish on Kindle, on how to do do!

Since when do you need to buy a book to contact customer service!? You don't of course, you just enter that same search line into a browser and up pops a freephone number. Another trick marketing ploy . . .

Begining to wonder if this forum is one of the few sane places left that is not doing its best to trick money out of us. Irony is it is one of the few pkaces I would be happy to contribute to the running costs of! I drop Wiki the ocassional quid or five.

I feel your pain. I tried to contact Amazon about confusing and conflicting messages over delivery costs (I'm sure it used to be easier to contact them), but couldn't work out how to do it so gave up. Amazingly I then found the same product on eBay for £7 less and free postage so up yours Amazon, you did me a favour.

I blame a niece for my hayfever  (which is, fortunately, only mild). I had not suffered from it until she got married. I had, for tge first time, to wear a floral button-hole. After several hours of having this thing almost stuffed up my nose it has never been the same since!
