Do those who put their email on this web get hatemail?

I am a lifelong atheist, (actually a born again athesit after a brief forray into agnoticism in my 30s) but new to this website.  Seems like a really nice site!!!!
I am wondering--if i put my email adress on my profile, will i get slammed with hate mail from visiting thumpers?

Have any of you put your email on your profile?  How did it work out for you?  Did you receive much hate mail?

I haven't received any hate mail, linked to my forum talk or otherwise.

The only time I've ever gotten anything remotely close to what could be considered hate mail is when I provided my opinion/answer to religious questions on yahoo answers.  Even then, it was mostly the "I feel sorry you are so lost" sorta thing.

I'm not saying that you wouldn't ever receive hate mail if you posted your email on an atheist forum...but it does seem to be rare.  

The forum itself sometimes get hate hit and run postings.

If you are worried about receiving hate mail I suggest setting up a email account that you only use for forum mail.  Mine is actually set up that way but since I use gmail I just have it forwarded automatically to my main gmail account (other mail provides may also offer that feature).  I did it this way because my main account is my real name and I didn't feel comfortable making that easily accessible.

Excellent idea ~ A whole other email address to use for this site.  
That's such a great term "hit and run" postings.  ha!  I've seen those in most of the atheist websites i visit.
