I'm very excited about The Secret World, Ragnar Tornquist's (the writer/creator of the Longest Journey series and a goddamn brilliant man) new MMORPG collaboration with FunCom (the company that makes Conan). Yes, Conan is crap but, damn, TSW looks a-maz-ing.

Great cinematics.  I wonder how the game play will be?

I started TLJ, but apparently the journey was too long for me (one of the many unfinished games on my shelf).
How did the TLJ sequel fare?

In my opinion, Dreamfall, the sequel to The Longest Journey, was better than the original. Sooo good. I still play it once in a while. I'll pop it in on a Saturday or Sunday and play through the whole game in one day.

I've heard of it but don't know anything about it.  Does that mean I go to a lesser level of gamer hell?

I like games where I can buy/decorate houses, have pets, dress up the character etc (which is why I like Fable) yet still run around and do stuff so it's not as boring as SIMs....is this game like that at all?

The Sims3 wore out very fast for me, but Fable was actually pretty good. I still play it when I get the urge.

Dragon Age Origin is not that type of game. It is the usual "stopping the demon horde invasion" but they have done it good. You venture as a warrior, rough or mage over a vast world. Gathering companions as you go along. What's special about it is that you have different stories, beginnings, endings based on what race or class you choose. You also have complete freedom to do whatever you will, when you choose, where you choose. And the voice acting is pure art.

I played Diablo 2.  My friends got me into it.  I got so into it I purchased a cheap bot for the game and gave it to my buddies.   We kept g-rushing characters and got all this awesome gear.  I wonder if my D2NT accout is still good.  Maybe they will let me use FG to get shit on Diablo 3.  We got so much FG since we had these awesome Hammerdins.  My favorite character was my Smiterdin.  We kept getting keys and doing Hellfire torch runs.  it was great. ^_^

Anyone here ever play Diablo or Diablo 2? I've played Diablo 2 for years and I'm very excited for Diablo 3 - I want the damn game now!  

Ah Diablo. Played the first game on Playstation. The Diablo 2 sat a new standard for the genre. I started all classes, but only played through with the Druid and the Rouge.

Of course when you had played Diablo 2 online, single player didn’t hold much attraction anymore.
Wonder if my character is still stored on their servers.

That's exactly what I'm doing right now. I have two sets of CD-Keys so I run two D2NT bots (both are Hammerdins) 24/7 so I can sell the stuff I find for FG which I am going to save for Diablo 3 to buy some godly gear. As of right now I have 3000+ FG.

Very nice.  How do you avoid getting relmed?  It was always shaky with me i'd generally do Chaos/Baal Runs and it might take me 5 hour or 2 days but i'd eventually get relmed.  My friends and I always had a server up for us and our buddies to do transfers to our mules.  Now do you just have the plain D2NT or did you ever get the Cow bot?  They were advertising that before I quit.  I think my buddy put his FG toward WoW since he picked that up when we all kinda phased out of Diablo2.  Sorry if my post is incoherent it's rather late and i'm tired.  

Also what is your charm setting?  I used to keep my Gheed's on my mules so I could pick one up (never got a good one) then typically I had my Torch and like 6 or 8 luck charms.  If you have time (inbetween running bots) try and make yourself a Smiterdin.  You can do Torch runs easily with like a level 85 Smiter.  Or I know D2NT was making a bot for ... oh I can't think of the name, It's when you act like you will kill Baal, Diablo, and that other monster and get the Torch but instead you trap one of them in the house and charge FG and level the crap out of new characters because it keeps spawning minions.  I can't think of the name of it right now.  >.<  That's gonna bug me.  Anyway did they ever do a server Reset?  There was talk about it back in September (which turned me off of the game) but they kept putting it back.  And are you playing ladder or non-ladder?   Sorry for all the questions this is the most excited i've been talking about diablo2 in a long time.

To avoid getting realm downs you have to increase the time the bot waits in the lobby after exiting a game. Realm downs only happen if you create games too fast. I'm only using the plain bot right now because botting cows probably won't yield that many good drops. Right now I do Pindleskin, Eldritch, Shenk, Baal, Mephisto, and Andariel for both bots and I'm getting pretty decent stuff. For my charms, I use 40% MF Gheeds, Torch, and Anni for both of my characters. I don't really feel like making a Smiter, because if I have my bots kill the guys who drop keys then I find that my stash and inventory fill up way too fast with keys and therefore I have no room to pick up other items. Besides, I feel like it's too much of a hassle to save up keys and keep on killing Ubers.
