Completly gutted that I forgot all about E3

All I remember from a guy friend who saw it all was soemthing about a L4D2

Imma gonna have to make my own investigations later when I'm out of school.

I used to play video games and computer games all the time.  As I got older I decided they were fun, but not worth all of my spare time.  Nowadays I just make time for my favorites.  That's pretty much just the Metal Gear Solid series.  There's something seductive about clearing a whole room of bad guys, and none of them ever noticed you were there...   :hide:

E3 is were video game companies show off new hardware and software, typically games.

L4D2 is Left 4 Dead2, a video game about fast zombies. Really fast zombies.

That one looks more promising for game play.  I see them coming out  with a gun version of that controller for fist person shooter games.  If they could combine that controller with the one from xbox that can see where your body is positioned...that would be fun.

Haha, my apologies. I forgot that not everyone knows what some things mean when I speak words |D;; But yeah, it's like Ayreon said. E3 is a large game convention thing where companies show off what they're working on. Trailers, demos and all that good stuff happens. There was a live stream on Monday or Tuesday, I can't remember. Left 4 Dead is a game involving really fast Zombies/Infected and the creators, Valve, gave us all a lovely little trailer of Left 4 Dead 2 at E3 that you can see riiiiight here.

Naturally the people I know are split. Some people would have liked it to be just a large expansion while others are excited that it's a new game. Being a fan of the whole zombie apocalypse thing I'm not really fussy about getting a new game, but I am looking forward to chopping things up with a chainsaw : D

In other gaming news, I'm getting Sims 3 today. Hoping it’ll work on my PC since I hear the Reqs. are real high. Naturally the guys in class are all like "y u buy dat silly woman" at me but there's just summat about making a bunch of little families and watching stuff happen to them that amuses me.

Also also also Bethseda released a trailer for Point Lookout DLC for Fallout 3 which is coming out later this month. Looks amusing, though nothing will beat the Broken Steel trailer IMO. Curious as to how they'll go about advertising Mothership Zeta next month.

And finally, Modern Warfare 2 IE That Game People Won't Shut Up About Where I Am. Finally got around to watching the E3 Gameplay during the week and I can safely say I'm looking forward to it. I am ridiculously excited/happy at the whole Soap being my Capt. thing and if he dies in this game I am so going to baw. Also, he sounds a wee bit too much like the ol' Capt. Price to be a little bit Scottish |D

Ya, I follow G4 so I can have something to say that might get my husband's attention longer than other words like pizza, fries, dip etc.  It's like the opposite of saying things like shoes and shopping.  They mentioned E3 a few times this week.

My husband just downloaded the demo of Overlord2.  The new game has better graphics and more evil...you club cute white fluffy baby seals.

I'll probably get this game when it is out seeing as i'm a massive Star Wars geek but i highly doubt it will compare to the true majesty of Star Wars Galaxies (pre combat upgrade of course).

Nice.  Looks better than episodes 1,2,3... oh, wait.  Even Lego Starwars was better than them ;-)

Wonder how the gameplay will be handled?
