...So stay away from Egor's place :P
Heard something interesting on the radio today, so I thought I'd find some article to share, and find one I did.
QuoteIn a new report released by prominent security firm Symantec, research shows that adult websites are not the most dangerous on the web. Instead, blogs associated with religion or ideologies offer a far greater chance of infecting a visitor's computer with some form of malware.

That was an interesting article.

QuoteWeb wanderers are more likely to get a computer virus by visiting a religious website than by peering at porn, according to a study released on Tuesday.
"Drive-by attacks" in which hackers booby-trap legitimate websites with malicious code continue to be a bane, the US-based anti-virus vendor Symantec said in its Internet Security Threat Report.
Websites with religious or ideological themes were found to have triple the average number of "threats" that those featuring adult content, according to Symantec.
"It is interesting to note that websites hosting adult/pornographic content are not in the top five, but ranked tenth," Symantec said in the report.
"We hypothesize that this is because pornographic website owners already make money from the Internet and, as a result, have a vested interest in keeping their sites malware-free; it's not good for repeat business."
The report was based on information gathered last year by the Symantec Global Intelligence Network, which monitors cyber attack activity in more than 200 countries through its services and sensors.
Symantec said that it blocked 5.5 billion attacks in 2011 in an increase of 81 percent from the prior year.
In keeping with trends seen by other Internet security firms, Symantec reported surges in hacks aimed at smartphones or tablet computers and in attacks targeting workers in companies or government agencies.
Tank!
Need a merger. Asmo was first :P
The article goes on to point out that theistic sites are often not for profit and done on a shoe string (and IMO done by keen amateurs). Thus they are more vulnerable to being hacked. So it's not the religious site owners adding the malware it's just that they can't protect themselves from the hackers.

Yes he was, just saw your post. My bad ::)
Give me a clue please I can't see the other thread.
It's in Religion. Just look up the last topic started by His Grayness. You replied to it too.
I believe it's called "Religious blogs are unsafe foy tour computer, Symantec says..."
Ah! Done.
Well, the religious tend not to like each other much... Think it's an attempt at e-warfare? :P
That'd be awesome. Let them take out each other. Virtual crusades!
It actually makes sense. Owners of porn sites know they are targets for viruses and malware and likely take some security precautions. Religious site owners probably pray and bless their sites against protection from such things.
Not to mention religious sites are usually created by someone as a hobby and porn sites are created to make money. Although Egor's site is created to make money too, I think. "Buy my books. Buy my books. Buy my books."

Haha, pray and bless their sites. No AVG software for them.
I found this article pretty hilarious.
"No! We must wait for god to jack us!"
