I like the Daleks as well...great avatar.

Im 40 years old. Im an electrician, married to another atheist with 2 atheist kids. I have 3 ferrets, 2 cats. I can play funk bass and guitar and I have so many bass and electric guitars I cant count them off the top of my head. I do heavy industrial work and I usually do some of the most dangerous electrical work they have...on my time down I like to chat about anything and everything. I love super heroes, especially when comedy is involved (hence my fav is Plastic Man, especially when teamed up with the batman). I am a left wing libertarian who likes Noam Chomsky and I have Anarchist leanings. I dont trust corporations or government (I see them both as the same thing)...I wish people would make love and not war...and legalizing marijuanna would be a good start. LOL. I rarely touch the stuff myself, but I dispise the idea that people are jailed like animals for using it.

Ive pretty much been an atheist since 9/11. I had my doubts before, but watching the terrorist attacks made me come to the conclusion "Stop lying to yourself...there is no god"

Hi plasticman

I must confess I had never heard of plasticman, but a quick Google changed that and put 'Eel' into context.

Thanks for making the effort to sign up and join in.

I can cease to function, but I have no idea if I am able to be permanently destroyed. One story has me being attacked once and blasted into chunks and spread acrosss the bottom of the sea. I stayed at the bottom of the sea for 3000 years until my peices were collected and brought back together. I instantly came back to life as usual as I know it, but I was a bit tramatized for it.

Yes!!!!  Neil!!!!  Why are you so Neil, Neil?!?

So PM, I have to tell you that now that I've seen your avatar, I think I know who Plastic Man in, and I think he's responsible for a bit of hilarity in our household.  My son is completely obsessed with Batman, so he and my husband were watching a Batman cartoon on Cartoon Network recently.  Some guy in a red suit stretched out his butt like a hand to pick something.  T and Hubby completely lost it, and watched it like 6 times in a row.  By the end I was laughing too, just because apparently it doesn't matter if you're 3 or 31, picking stuff up with your butt is really funny to guys.  :D

That had to have been Batman: The Brave And The Bold, which is the closest they've come to getting the character across on television (I won't deign to recognize the 80s cartoon).  Also loved his appearances when Grant Morrison took on writing duties for JLA.

the older stuff had its moments, but the technology wasnt ready for the character. The character barely came across correctly in the comics.

I can only assume the good (and quirky) Rev may still know a thing or two about comics.
