Title: Pet Nicknames
Post by: Buddy on February 21, 2012, 02:03:46 AM
So, since I'm not going to be here until Saturday, I have a new topic for you guys to amuse yourselves with in my absence.
Post your pet's nickname, be it cute, silly or just plain strange, as well as an explanation. I'll start.

My Italian greyhound Zoe's nickname is Snuggleluffagus. A combination of snuggle and the muppet Snuffaluffagus. I call her that because of her being very snuggly dog.  ;D

My dad calls me Anne D, so I guess that is my nickname.

T has many nicknames.  T. T Bird, T Rex, Tiberious, Titchanitcha.  Mr. T.

I call my son "Bug-a-boo". Though, when he was really little he was "Squeaker" because he used to squeak a lot.
I call my husband "Cutie-fella", "Jellybean" or "Wallaby". I have no idea where any of those came from.

I also call my cats "Asshole-cat" and "Gentleman-Kitty" respectively, because those are pretty apt descriptions of their personalities.  :P

It's not exactly my nickname for her, but Deirdre will only respond to "DeeDee".  All that trouble thinking up a suitable, classy old name for nothing.

I call my daughter Bethaloe sometimes, rhymes with Buffalo.
We used to sing a song to the tune of Buffalo Solider,
Bethloe lumpkin, rolly polly chumkin.
One day she frowned at me and didn't seem to appreciate the song any more.

Collectively, I called my pets, "furry little monsters," "jerk faces" and/or "munchkins." Individual nicknames were, "jerk face," "hate monster," "asshole," "snot face" and/or "Gene Simmons." "Gene Simmons" was for my papillon that had an abnormally long tongue... plus she liked to lick everything and acted like you hit her if you told her "no" (for the record, I've never hit my pets, I've never had a problem training with only positive reinforcement).

Oh, haha, I misread the OP the first time.  I didn't realize we were supposed to post our pet's nicknames.

Her "real name" is Ellie Fant, but most of the time we just call her Ellie.  Other than that we call her Elle, Ellen, Eleanor (when she's fancy), Smells, Biggie Smells, and when she's bad, Shithead (pronounced Sha-Teed in honor of the book "Freakanomics")

My wife's dog is named Rocky.  I call him Rock Star.  Her friend calls him Rocket J. Squirrel.  She calls him Booger Butt, or Kelef (Hebrew for "Dog").

Our two dogs are sometimes known as the 'Princess' and the 'Ewok'!

My dog's name is Kyra, but on occasion people call here "Cacão", which is what my brother would call big monkies when he was little. I have no idea where that came from. ???

I just call her 'Big Baby'.

Tank, every time I see your gray dog (with the underbite - I'm assuming that is "Ewok") my heart just melts into a puddle on the floor.  Your other one is really cute too, but there is something just too too endearing about Ewok.

Ewok is a real character too! We are lucky to have a pair of the best doggies one could ever wish for  :)
