This is a very interesting sub design incorporating an Air Independent Propulsion (AIP) system that allows it to stay submerged for up to 3 weeks. Considerably better than the 24 to 48 hours of traditional diesel/electric subs. And no nuclear reactor either.

Yeah, the thought crossed my mind, but I really don't know much about lifting weights or how hard it is to bench 225 pounds.

2 1/4 lbs to the kilo =  100kg, sounds a lot.
Bags of cement come in 40kg bags, I've never enjoyed carrying those.
